I am worried about president Museveni's terrorist alert statement at the 46th Independence ceremony. Our president belongs to the Neurotic Constitution. He is paranoid that all his ugly past will finally be exposed. He is also worried about losing his prestige as his popularity dwindles, especially amidst all the related NSSF scandal surrounding his super minister Amama Mbabazi, which is likely to touch him.

I am afraid some innocent Ugandans will have to be blown up in a taxi or pubs in order to make a point about impending terrorist attact. The decoy to divert the public attention away from the NSSF and Temagalo land scandal, through the 2 million acre land give-away to the Egyptian, and gagging NRM MPs from commenting on this mess, seems to have flopped.

Therefore terrorism alert may be is the last resort. Blow up some innocent Ugandans on the streets of Kampala and blame it on some imaginary terrorist. Brig Tumukunde should tell Ugandans the truth. Who were behind the bomblasts in Kabalagala and taxi park in 1999?

Otherwise there are no terrorist targeting Ugandans except Museveni himself, who is trying hide his terrorist past; by evoking terrorism rhetoric. Now that a former State Research Bureau SRB agent residing in Zambai, thru Radio Katwe is pointing a finger at Museveni for being behind the murder of two American citizens during Amin's era must be unsettling for the thug.

Since the Americans take seriously the murder of their citizens in foreign countries, the CIA in their outposts in Uganda and Zambia must take this revelation seriously and bring to book the terrorists behing the murder in cold blood of the journalist and Sociology Lecturer at Makerere University. Museveni by trying ally with the Americans over terrorism is trying to be too close to be seen.

The American are sometimes like children, they are easily duped that is why they blundered in Iraq. M7 is the master of deceit. UPDF going to Somalia is just another one way of Museveni's smoke screen diverting Americans from his criminal past, besides getting the mighty dollars for personal expedience.

I would like to warn people with large amounts of money in Ugandan banks that you are about to lose all your money in a scam headed by NRM government. The Mafia you know is planning to steal all the money, close the banks and if you are lucky, you will get only 5 million insured by Bank of Uganda.

How many Ugandans know that KAUPTHING BANK in Iceland has closed shop? This is the bank in which stolen money from Uganda is kept. This is not a joke. I wonder if Ugandans even know that their president was in Iceland recently to check his bank balance.

Iceland is a very small country at the end of the world but owns large shares in many large companies in Europe. I am talking about over 40% of Nordea Bank, over 50% of Finnair, over 30% of Sampo Bank and many other companies in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, UK and also in USA. Do you Ugandans know that Iceland as a country is bankrupt and is negotiating a 4 billion Euro loan from Russia?

Like stolen money from Uganda was returned to buy UCB, UEB, UPTC and other corporations, your president was in Iceland to look for fake investors. These are investors who reach Uganda and borrow money from local banks guaranteed by Uganda government. Tristar and Lira Spinning Mill type of investors.

Ignore this warning at your own financial peril. NRM wants money to bribe voters in 2011 to make sure Museveni remains in power. Museveni had target workers money in NSSF but this Temangalo-gate has opened workers eyes early!!

I have more evidence about Brig. Kasirye Ggwanga from the director of Public Prosecutions which I want to inform the fellow Ugandans and the world.

Please remember this summary of evidence in the High Court of Uganda by the Director of Public Prosecutions 1987.

During the month of July and August, 1986 at Lungujja the home of Commander Kasirye in Kampala City in the Kampala District held a meeting and others where a plan to overthrow the National Resistance Movement Government by force of arms were discussed. In the meeting Brig. Kasirye promised to contact more people in Masaka and Gulu.

Remember this Brig. Kasirye moved into Lt. Col. Nkwanga's (RIP) residence in Lungujja took Nkwanga's property and made this his home

The evidence of Commander Drago Nyanzi Moses (RIP) was witness No.3. States that, when he was a Commanding Officer of the Special Batallion stationed at Makindye.

During the month of September, 1986, he was also the Commanding Officer of the 5th Batallion Yumbe. Sometime at the beginning of September, 1986, he had come from Yumbe to Republic House and while he was in town he met Commander Kasirye and they got into conversation.

In the course of their conversation, Commander Kasirye told him that there was a plot to overthrow the Government and he requested him to join and assist them in the execution of the said plot as he was a Commanding Officer and his Batallion could be useful.

Drago Nyanzi Moses agreed with the suggestion and Kasirye promised to collect him from his father's Restaurant at Johnsson Street to take and introduce him to the rest of the Plotters. On the same day, Kasirye collected Drago and took him.

The evidence of Commander David Tinyefuza (attached to Lubiri Barracks) was witness No. 7 States that sometime in July or August, 1986 Commander Kasirye reported to him that there were politicians who were plotting to overthrow the NRM/NRA Government by force of arms.

After discussing the issue David Tinyefuza allowed Kasirye to go ahead and attend the various meetings of the Plotters and report back to him his findings.

After three meetings the first report from Kasirye to Tinyefuza was that the FEDEMU and UFM leadership had agreed on overthrowing the NRA/NRM Government. But he did not report the meetings held at his home Lungujja.

Even up to now, the story of the death of Drago Nyanzi Moses and Kanaabi was still terrible but Kasirye is still enjoy. HOW LONG WILL THIS GO ON

MUSEVENI'S GREED KNOWS NO BOUNDARIES

Few years ago, thinking that a one Yoseri Tuhaburwa aka Yoweri Museveni, possessed similar revolutionary passions as the anti-apartheid revolutionaries, a one Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, visited Museveni at his private ranch.

During their meeting Ramaphosa admired Museveni's cows (the long-horned Ankole cattle). Since our great "revolutionary" is a very "generous" man he saw no reason why he wouldn't offer a few of his breed to a nice friend and an icon of another great struggle.

So he asked Ramaphosa if he would wish to have the same kind of cows and the guest replied in affirmative. The offer was immediately executed.

As Ramaphosa departed for South Africa, his cargo of the Ugandan-only breed of cattle departed too, arriving safely and on time. Ramaphosa was a happy man; receiving such a gift by a president is a rare occurence.

But that joy was short-lived. A few weeks after the cows had arrived in South Africa, Ramaphosa received an invoice from Uganda with an obnoxiously high price for the cows.

Thinking this could be some silly corrupt official trying to cheat him, Ramaphosa called Museveni to ask whether the invoice was genuine. To his shock Museveni said yes, the invoice was real. When Ramaphosa tried to weakly protest claiming that he thought the cows were a gift, Museveni emphantically told him no, his cows cannot be given out free.

The poor Cyril had to pay. But he has never forgotten this incident and regularly shares it with those he meets to demonstrate how sly Museveni is.

That is our great revolutionary in true colours. He cannot wait to use tricks to cheat even friends! How much more the Ugandans he sees as mere "biological substances"!

RK, its true Amon Bazira was lured to meet someone at a Kenyan Hotel and later killed. The question is, who killed him? The previous writer called the killers "the boys". (see letter at bottom of Readers Letters of 9th October 2008 - Editor)

The boys who did the job were from DMI at the time and were led by Paul Kagame (current Rwandan president). Kenyan security arrested these boys immediately. It was Museveni who negotiated their release with then Kenyan president Arap Moi. Do your research on this one.

Yesterday was Ugandas Inpendence days and it was fun at FOB Delta in Al Kut US base, American Gov't Courtesy of Najlaa Catering services made a 2m square cake in the shape of Ugandan flag. it was all fun Ugandans and American soldiers took photos and it was really a fun day. our Uganda Submajor organised a big do at the MWR (Morale Welfare & Recreation) a disco and Ugandas music was played, Dj Obed Agaga made Ugandan feel at home, music of the likes of Bebe cool, Chameleon, Chagga Yaga yoo, Master Parrot to mentioned but a few.

We Ugandans in Iraq appreciate the Americans for their support and love for supporting us in celebrating Independence and management of Triple Canopy especially Magoo and Mark the site managers here.

Thanks for the good work,i want to clarify and mention a few things that this Museven has done,you only mention of butchering people in the north but you forget that he has a master plan to eliminate people on mount Rwenzori,

1. He brought climbing lions to the mountain from Tanzania lying to us that they would boost tourism on the mountain but they were ment to eat the Bakonzo.

2. Then he brought ADF which killed most of us, if it wasnt for us threaten to join coz we were tired of orders that these so called soldiers wait for until a whole school is set on fire on taken captive thats when an order is given. Any Mukonzo who who surender would be killed, shot on spot while his tribemates and other people that he was using wld be incoopareted into the army and given the same ranks that they had in the bush e.g. capt. Benz and many others.

3. Now he has come with these so called Basongora from DR.congo. They killed people on wednesday, they have guns and protected. If you have two kids and they start fighting do you support one or you are supposed to stop them from fighting? What this fool has done is that he has sent there the army to protect ths so called herdsmen as if we depend on meat. He should know that soon we are going to wipe out all these guys with their cattle. Ibuga is not in Ankole. he should remember this is a Konzo land, he should give them land in Ankole.

Field Marshal Idi Amin may have been short tempered just like any other human being, but that does not mean that he killed between 8,000 to 200,000 Ugandans as claimed by President Yoweri Museveni whenever he takes to the podium? It could be true that the Late Marshal was responsible for the death of his wife Kezia. Ultimately, How many Ugandan women have died in hands of their husbands?

Archbishop Luwum's killer happened to an Acholi who died in exile in Kinshasha a few years ago. Some Acholi, Langi and to a lesser extent Lugbara army officers were killed in various barracks throughout Uganda by some Sudanese refugees like Brigadier Malera, Col Disman Sabuni Col. Faruk Minawa on Idi Amin's order, but the numbers of killed is far less than the number of civilians killed by UNLA in West Nile and Luwero triangle. Amin's Regime was known for targeted killings of politicians and descenting voices mean while Obote's regime targeted some tribes notably from Buganda and the West Nile regions.

Perhaps the biggest mistake Marshal Amin made was to Expel Asians from Uganda and declare himself the " The conqueror of British Empire".

I strongly believe Obote's Regime Killed more Ugandans than the Idi Amin's Era.

Meanwhile President Yoweri Museveni's Regime is responsible for the death of millions of Ugandans from the north, Rwandese and Congolese. Museveni has never been a threat to the British and American interest in Uganda and Africa, that is why he continues to be the blue eyed boy of those who refered Idi Amin and Obote as tyrants. My million dollar question is who amongst the three rulers was or is the worst dictator Ugandan history?

As the country awaits the investigative report into the controversial purchase of Amama Mbabazi's Temangalo land by NSSF, yet another scandal involving Olive Zaituni Kigongo, wife to NRM vice chairman Moses Kigongo, has reached parliament.

The parliamentary committee on statutory bodies has received information from a whistle blower, indicating that the management of Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UNCCI) headed by Olive Kigongo sold a multi-billion government property in the city centre under suspicious circumstances, to an unknown buyer, even after their term of office had expired.

Committee Chairman Johnson Malinga says the three-storied property, built in 1929, is located on Plot 12 Johnstone Street.

"What is shocking is the fact that the UNNCI managers who sold this public property were supposed to have left office in 2003, but they allegedly manipulated the constitution and awarded themselves five more years," Malinga told reporters at his office last evening.

The whistle blower's petition, which Red Pepper has seen, indicates that when the property tenants learnt that their landlords had changed overnight, they approached police in June this year to launch an investigation, but police never revealed the results of their investigations.

"Mr. Chairman, this petition seeks for your powers to compel the IGP Kale Kayihura to release this report.

They made the investigations, asked for Shs20,000 from us to give us the report, but after taking our cash, they refused to give us the report," part of the petition reads.

The police report dubbed Ref: gef 459/2008 reportedly implicates some powerful people in government.

Asked whether the timing of this new case would not undermine the NSSF-Mbabazi saga, Malinga said the committee would consult to see how best to proceed. "The committee won't take charge of political fights.

We are mandated to monitor the functions of statutory bodies. But if the Temangalo land saga will help us establish the fraud going on in public enterprises, it will be good for us. If one thief names another thief because of this NSSF probe, it will be good for the public" Malinga said.

Ex-journalist finally freed on bail

Reporters Without Borders is relieved to learn that former journalist Andrew Mwangura, the Seafarers Assistance Programme's representative in Kenya, was finally released on bail yesterday in Mombasa after being held for nine days.

Mwangura said he was "happy" with the court's decision and was ready to go back to work and to continue trying to combat piracy in the region. He was arrested on 1 October on a charge of spreading false information for contradicting the Kenyan's government version about the destination of a military cargo on a ship seized by Somali pirates.

Kenya deports anti-Obama author

It is sad but we have to give a sigh of relief that Obama does not behave like his ancestors, the typical Kenyan politician. They say they support him but it seems to be skin deep emotionalism with no substance. If he were to practice his kind of politics in Kenya today, members of this same politcal class would probably persecute and hound him into exile, if not kill.

In the face of months of slander and vicious attacks the man has shown his innate civility and intelligence by remaining cool and dignified. He uses facts, reason and a dash of humour to disarm attackers.

By stark contrast, the Kenyan government's reaction against a hate-mongering, sad little old man trying to peddle easily debunked myths about Obama shows that on the evolutionary tree of politics, they are still in the pre-historic stage.

The actions show that little else is shared apart from genes.
