I just read a letter in RK titled: "Army Promotions & Museveni's Discrimination" by an unnamed reader and my heart sank!

Why?

All these years of RK have been years of identifying the rot in Museveni's rule, we have even drawn a conclusion that Museveni's 1981-86 war was a grand plot to loot and rape our nation. Even men serving Museveni, such as our only Captain Vincent, now recognise what a mistake they did to be drawn into that war. The man fought to enrich his rag-tag family, period.

Yet reading that letter I was disillusioned to recognise that there are still Ugandans who either think exactly like Museveni or have not moved an inch from the thinking of some Ugandans, two decades ago.

The writer engages in a tirade, accusing Museveni of promoting only military officers from his tribe. But looking at his recommendations, those who have been bypassed, all those he mentions are from one tribe (I guess his or her tribe).

The writer also supports Museveni's continued fake claims that he fought to liberate Uganda and has given it freedom. - Liberate Uganda; my foot!

The writer says:

"There are a few Generals that belonged to UNLA before 1986. They never fought to remove Obote or Okello. On the other side, there are well-trained men who fought for Uganda's freedom. They are over-looked."

Does this writer really read RK? Has this writer been following developments in Uganda? If he/she was following this, the words; liberation of Uganda, would be most revolting to her/his ears.

Indeed if it is the Baganda in Nairobi, as the writer states, who helped Museveni out, I guess they today bow their heads in shame and wouldn't be keen on being reminded of the despicable mistake they were led to commit. We just wish that they hadn't wasted their meagre resources to aid such a thief, we wish that conscience had reigned on them and led them to betray this bastard may be Uganda and the Great Lakes region would be safer and free today.

Secondly; to continue accusing people who served in past national armies is missing the point. Uganda is a country and therefore has to have an army and that army is to be served by Ugandans. The problem is not with the men and women who serve in our national armies, it is with the leaders who use the army to perpetuate their own detestable agendas.

Those UNLA officers were trained using the Ugandan tax payers' money. If they can continue serving Uganda today, I think they deserve to do that.

What the writer is propagating is a very dangerous trait. It is time we start seeing each other as Ugandans first and our small enclaves last. If I see a Muganda suffering and I'm a Mutoro, my heart goes to that Muganda. If I see an Acholi dying I mustn't feel that because I'm a Samia I have nothing to lose, I must instead fight it hard to defend a sister or a brother.

Under one flag, singing one anthem, trading using one currency and educated under the same system, we form one entity called Uganda. This is what needs to sink in before we even think of removing the menace that is Museveni.

Otherwise, with such feelings still engrained in our minds, even removing Museveni will not sort our problems. We shall still bounce back to our enclaves and seek to advantage over the rest nothing different from the Museveni agenda.

I would however like you and your team to di out the names of MPS of the 7th Parliament who sold their conscience and honour and betrayed our country for shs five million in order to change our constitution. I still regard them as traitors and if ever there is a change of government they should be rounded up and charged with treason together with M7 if he will live to see such a change.

Secondly, could someone from State house tell RK readers how in a very short time shs 3bn/= requested to finance hosting of recent tripitite meeting in Kampala was used. I believe this money if it was released at all must have been stolen as it happened with CHOGAM money. During the Tripartite meeting at Munyonyo Speke Resort last week, President Museveni publicly and shamelessly declared before other heads of states international press and foreign ministers that he has privatized (read sold off) everything in Uganda except the state house. In other words, the country is on sale and the State House and Lodges will not be exceptions.

I therefore get concerned whenever I hear some of the 101 juvenile presidential advisors bellow out all sorts of nonsense, in defense of the president who is sacrificing the whole country to satisfy his vanity. The most malignant of them all are: Moses Byaruhanga, Tamale Birungi, Richard Todwong and David Mafabi. There is also, though less annoying ones like Pamela Ankunda on the peripheral in the Media Center.

I wonder whether it has ever occurred to them, why seasoned, older and wiser people like Hope Kivengyere, Mary Karooro Okurut and Onapito Ekomoloit bailed out of being Presidential Press Secretary. Even the notorious, flamboyant Presidential Legal Advisor, Fox Odio has gone mute after brushing with election violence and crime in 2006. It is because they could not debase themselves any further, telling lies and fighting other people's wars. Each of them had finally run out lies. In others words they lied themselves silly.

That is exactly what Tamale Mirundi, Moses Byaruhanga, David Mafabi and other puppy heads are doing. They will tell lies until they become dizzy. Mary Okurut, the NRM Spokesperson, is still dizzy from telling lies after covering up dirt on behalf of the Museveni and coat-hangers-on.

Telling lies got into her head such that she rarely makes statements that will make her look like a stooge anymore. Whenever the press confronts her over any NRM controversy, she keeps short and simply says "no comments" or "I am not aware". Like Tina Tuner, she just dances for the money.

But my outrage and concern is what should Ugandans do to people like Moses Byaruhanga who are nursing the very cancer that is killing Ugandans?

Iam afriend to late Sanyu who has been a talented,good sence of humour and proffessional with his job,im so shocked with the sad news. Why is this brutal killings still happening? Re.JB Sanyu's death is ridiculous @ the moment his wife and the rest of his family are under trumour by H.E Kagame's guys.Its ashame loosing such aperson in the country.Many people in France who knew him during his study are in great shock plus the ones in England where JB Sanyu lived before coming back to Rwanda.

JB Sanyu has been astrong nationalist for Rwanda and had always called H.E Kagame his "hero". After the recently concluded legislative elections in Rwanda that saw three Ministers, namely Jean Damascene Ntawukuriryaho (Health), Bikoro Munyanganizi (Energy) and Protais Mitali (Youth) grab seats to join the next august parliament, politicians and amateurs in politics are busy trotting and lobbying to be included in the cabinet reshuffle.

I work at NSS under our harsh and arrogant boss Ndahiro. Surely few can claim to be his friends, but for some time I have been working with him and ever pretending to be his friend. He recently confided to me that come the next reshuffle, President Kagame has agreed to appoint him the next Minister of Foreign affairs. I am terribly in fear, and I hope this is not true. I said to my heart, God forbid! Imagine such terrorist and sadist with no diplomatic culture being a coordinator of our learned ambassadors! Then I said to my heart, this too could be possible since the spy had managed to convince Kagame to appoint Linda aka Mama Edgar Ndahiro as the Minister of Infrastructure as rightly reported by Radio Katwe. Some other person confirmed that he too heard been explicitly told by Ndahiro that he's the in coming "chef de diplomacy", and ready to replace the controversial Rosemary Museminali Kobusingye.

Well the President is his close friend and the spy has taken this proximity to witch hunt other Rwandans either with an aim of snatching their wives or destroy their reputation and integrity because of his inert malice.

It now remains to be seen, whether the spy's claims of being included in the next cabinet will be true. Hardly does anyone take President Kagame for a ride, and the people still doubt the spy's claims. Our beloved President, it is high time you got rid of the spy as his contribution to the development of this country and the ruling party is irrelevant and detrimental.

NDAHIRO AND BIDERI'S CONSPIRANCY RESISTED BY THE LADY JUDGE

Please allow me to share this information with you and all readers of your website. I am a journalist and a human rights activists living and working in Rwanda. I won't reveal my identities for fear of being liquidated by the spy and his hitting squad.

I have been closely following all that you have published about the spy, and have no doubt whatsoever about the authenticity. True, the man has a personal mission to eliminate whoever stands in his way to become the next President of Rwanda. However, the means he's employing may never lead him to achieving his dream. How do you have people locked up in safe houses, chased away from their jobs, flee the country, snatch people's wives, grab people's land and business etc, and call this the best strategy to lead Rwanda after the visionary and developmental minded Kagame?

Not so long ago, the spy has been harassing the Lady judge at Kacyiru court, intimidating her to speed up the trial of JB Sanyu (the former MD of The New Times) and to make sure that the latter is sentenced to 3 years in jail as demanded by the Prosecution and be made to pay the alleged 51 million Frw.

I tried to find out from a media guru in this country why the media has been silent about this on going case yet JB worked in the media industry as a journalist and a Chief of Executive Officer of some media houses. He confirmed my guess, that most of these media outlets have been either threatened not covered the trial or given money not to report about it. Bideri of course has been consistently filling biased stories aimed at destroying JB's credibility and integrity.

The Lady Judge has clearly and categorically refused to succumb to the spy's intimidation. Whoever has been following the trial since July 2008 will attest that the Lady Judge is impartial and displaying a high degree of professionalism. The intimidations and threats orchestrated by Bideri Joseph and Rukangira the company (the two are the spy's hit squad in town) have so far yielded nothing.

The last trial took place last Friday 26th September 2008, and JB's lawyers (Christopher Niyomugabo and Janvier Rwagatare) displayed their legal expertise without fear or favor. They both adduced and tabled enough supporting documents, clearly showing how the alleged embezzled money never ended in JB's pocket but was rather spent and sanctioned by the spy and chairman of The New Times Board.

In the middle of the trial while JB with this two lawyers were tabling evidence, The New Times lawyer rushed out and made a couple of phone calls to the Spy and Bideri, loudly lamenting that they were bound to lose the case. Those attending court were extremely shocked, and remained wondering and contemplating about the personal motivation of both Bideri and Ndahiro in wanting to persecute JB.

As journalist and a human rights activist, I could notice that this trial was a total gimmick and sham, just orchestrated by the two former guys who worked JB and fell out with him because of other problems than the alleged embezzlement that occurred three years ago. I should mention here that the audit report, done in September 2005 by two Orinfor staff members had never been signed. To the surprise of many, both the New Times lawyer and the Prosecution tried to smuggle in a signed one without success. JB's lawyers named the unsigned audit copy un tract or un anonymous document. The defence requested the court to produce the authors of these report and JB's former employer for cross examining. One defence lawyer was heard saying, nobody is above the law and that it is important that the Chairman of the Board and the entire be summoned to court to answer some few queries. The New Times lawyer on his part said that the Chairman can not accept to be tried and that the lady judge too can't risk summoning him. If one goes by what his lawyer (the spy has always claimed that the paper belongs to him, so the lawyer too belongs to him), then one is right to wonder really if the Spy/Chairman is above the law and the constitution of this country!

Does the spy/chairman has a privileged right to harass others by using his office? I have read that he goes around insulting others, snatching and turning men's wives into sex objects, intimidating whoever challenges him, and doing all while boasting to do it in the name of President Kagame. Of course, those who know Kagame have refused to be part of his propaganda. Ndahiro and Bideri are not different from those tyrants who at one time thought were above the law. Ask any citizen about the likes Gahima, Kajeguhakwa, Rudasingwa, Nkusi Sam to mention but a few. Mentioning their names raises a lot of trauma.

Ndahiro may not succeed persecuting JB! The lady judge set October 24th 2008 at 3pm as the ruling day, and let us converges there on that day to either bid farewell to our JB or laugh off the officers in charge of harassing citizens in the country!

Bravo the lady Judge and long live the Rwandan judiciary!

NDAHIRO AKA AMAMA MBABAZI COMPLAINS TO KAGAME

Ndahiro, the renowned terror and sadist has been overheard complaining that Kagame had promised him to include him in the next cabinet reshuffle but the latter instead appointed the guy he has been harassing in the promised post of Minister of health.

Like his usual habits, the spy worked had to destroy Dr. Richard Sezibera's diplomatic career when he was Rwanda's US ambassador. The Spy filed concorted reports about the new Minister, and poor guy he was even recalled before the end of his term of office. Even after arriving back in the country, the spy has never given up his maliciously tendencies of undermining the cool and learned doctor Richard. Doctor Richard, just trust in God and continue working professionally and patriotically, and be assured that we cadres who have known you and your skills will continue supporting you. The Spy's support is rather pure opium, and his days in NSS are number!

Please President Kagame, save us from this Amama Mbabazi of Kigali! The spy has swallowed a lot of Temangalo/Caisse Sociale, Silverbag, an accounted monies of NSS operations, snatching tenders from National tender board, evading RRA taxes etc.

This company has cheated router developers whom they recuited to help develop, their distribution network by not paying these young people and pride themselves as number one market share kings of the industry. The corporate image of this company is about exploitation by the managers sharing the loot by their counterparts in Kenya and taking advantage of the incompetence of government agent check on its operations.

Their known customers who helped to build thier market share have been harassed like evil doers by kicking them out of business due to the greed of this new managers. Triblism, nepotism is the order of the day,look at the new Depot located in Namasuba next to the mosque, said to be owned by the former MD Magunda now posted to Kenya, what image does it have to the muslism brothers.

Look at the loss their customer experienced when they reduced the price of their products without informing them of the change as their counterparts of Nile Breweries who took up themselves to inform their customers of the change for a period of two weeks through the media.

Look at their staff, there are working under durress, fear of loss of job, no wonder they have remain old fashioned with out dated beer bottles of colonial governments, no innovation, no R&D but only disaster and crisis management. Please the government should think of renationalising this companies back otherwise with this world crisis, watch what is going to help to this company.

One reader writes (28th October) that selective army promotions show that M7 hates baganda.

There is no doubt that many men and women of honour have been passed over for promotion, while others with the 'right' ethnicity or familial ties have been speedily promoted. However I think it is a misunderstanding of M7 and his regime to attribute this to hatred or contempt.

We need to understand that M7's decision are all about maintaining power, nothing else. M7 has taken power-hunger to such a level you would be forgiven for concluding that he is schooled by the devil himself! The Lutaayas and Nalweyisos can't be allowed close to the centre of power, because they would not be as easy to control. M7 knows they are not as venal as the rest, or easily threatened.

Anyone who doubts that M7 is all about power, should have paid closer attention to his behaviour in the Temangalo saga. M7 has shown that corruption, investigation, due process, parliament, etc., mean nothing to him. What matters is what he can get out of it. The entire calculation is about who to ditch now to increase the chance of success in 2011. Similarly, the prolonged northern war has arguably been about breaking the northerners will, so that they do not clamour for power with a strong enough voice. He knows that they are the one group that never bought his fairy tale right from the start, so better to keep them busy.

The sooner we understand M7, the better for all of us.

I was shocked to learn that Justin Ocitti, a crook who has never had a proper job for himself for nearly thirty years is now a Chief of Pagak Clan in Amuru district.

I have been in Uganda and met some of the most untrustworthy people, but the level of dishonesty and fraudulent disregard to any law makes Ocitti a class of his own.

There are on going investigations on the character and conduct of Justin Ocitti here in the UK and the Museveni Government should check with the UK government on his records when he was languishing here. I am aware the Museveni government may want to use Ocitti to sell the land in Acholi, but what they dont know is that Ocitti can not be tamed. To me he is a loose canon ball. God help Acholi

The US embassy has warned that some companies that purport to recruit Ugandans to serve as security guards in Iraq could be involved in human trafficking.

Kathleen Fitzgibbon, the political and economic chief at the US embassy, told MPs that such companies withhold the pay and passports of people to prevent them from leaving their jobs.

She said the US Department of Defence had launched a policy of zero tolerance on human trafficking, especially to Iraq.

"The Government of Uganda should have regulations to ensure that people who go to Iraq are treated well. The government should make sure local companies recruiting people to go to Iraq are following good practices," Fitzgibbon said

"Before people go to Iraq they must know their rights and read the work contracts. The Ministry of Labour has to be vigilant when it licenses companies to recruit people going to Iraq." She said the US government had cancelled the permit of an American company taking people to Iraq because it was not following labour regulations.

The MPs, led by Kyaka Kyokuhirwa (NRM), asked what the US was doing to ensure that Ugandans who travelled to Iraq were not cheated or taken for other purposes.

I ahve for a couple of years now thought of bringing my cry to your attention concerning one Opolot Joseph who went missing in 1975. He was working with one Bank in Kampala up to the time of his disapearance. Rumous say two men attacked him that evening and led him a way at gun point from a foot ball field. He left me an infant and I have grown up wishing just his grave lay at the family grave yard where I could look at and weed around it.

I have never been at rest as a result so my cry today to you and the general public is that if at all by any chance any body out therehas any information on where his body was dumped, please help let me know so I may take his bones home to the family grave yard where my children can be able to see their grand father's grave. your help on this matter will not only be given to me or my children but to the whole clan, his inlaws and all well wishers moreover I believe God will be pleased with any action you take.
