On JB Sanyu: It is Ndahiro who has a case to answer

Dear readers,

Amazingly someone wrote on this forum that "JB has a case to answer". That author claims to have followed the case in court and concludes that the former New Times boss embezzled money as allegedly by the prosecution.

However I would like to request him on behalf of the readers (though not mandated) to shed more light on the following:

1. For one to be accused of embezzlement, there must be an audit report, conducted by a recognized, credible and reputable audit firm. Now, can you (or any of the Ndahiro allies because I suspect that you are one of them) tell the readers who audited the New Times accounts/finances? From what we have been reading, it is Orinfor (a government information and broadcasting agency, once headed by Bideri Joseph and now the New Times boss) that carried that audit. This is a fact, and in case you doubt it, go ahead and contact both the prosecution, JB's lawyers and the courts.

Any wise person can only claim that there was embezzlement of any kind if an audit is properly done by an audit firm. It is therefore unfortunate and unprofessional for any office e.g. the prosecution and the courts of law to ignore this important aspect. You will agree with me that without an audit carried out by professionals, then any claim by the prosecution and thereafter a sentence that there was embezzlement is null and void.

As said by many, Rwanda has no judicial system, and if there is, then the likes of Ndahiro have taken it hostage to champion their mission of undermining the media freedom (a case in point is the many journalists from the independent media who have run away from Rwanda), an enemy to the economy because many local investors have relocated to some other countries to do business, threatening their lives of senior army officers who gallantly contributed to the end genocide, grabbing land (plots) owned by some genocide survivors, undermining senior cadres and leaders in government by making false accusations against them to mention but a few.

2. You explicitly stated that JB run into problems when he presented forged papers of an important person in Rwanda as evidence in court. Since you claim to have followed the trial case, why don't you mention that important person in Rwanda? Is it his or her 'Rwandan importance or social status' that makes the evidence presented in court as forged? The fact that you fear to mention his or her name too raises a lot of suspicion and may lead one to suspect you as being Ndahiro's mole or agent.

3. You insinuate that JB must have fled the country or hiding in the country. We have been reading reports that Ndahiro is holding him in one of his safe houses. And the latter is known to have a fundamental grudge against him and many others who have refused to be part of his presidential succession ambition/camp. Suppose JB fled the country or is in hiding as you allegedly say, does this give Ndahiro the powers to invade and besiege JB's residence and torment JB's wife and kids, locking up his friends and family members in detention? Does he really have the constitutional right to violate people's natural rights? You claim that JB has a case to answer, but do these people have anything to answer as well?

Like it or not, JB can only have anything to answer if Ndahiro himself could come clean and explain to the world why many people (business men and women, wealthy genocide survivors, politicians in RPF and other political parties, journalists, RDF soldiers) have been running away from their mother country because of his threats on their lives. More people than those killed in the genocide may have left the country to save their lives from this Kagame's appointed monster. It is therefore immaterial to even wonder whether JB is hiding or may have left the country because the whole world knows that all the embezzlement allegations put forward by you (his paper and prosecution) are a mere fabrication aimed at confusing the world.

As written by one author on this forum, Ndahiro will hunt you down and accuse you of genocide if you are a hutu, and corruption if you are tutsi. Dear Rwandans, Ndahiro has been practicing this philosophy under the very nose of the appointing authority. Could it be that his boss is part of this philosophy as clearly stated by one of the contributors on this forum? Let me leave this to the readers to make their own contribution.

Most people died before, during and after the 1994 genocide, and it is unfortunate that many more are being paraded in court with all sorts of fake allegations, many more are rotting in jail, many more have been kidnapped and never to be seen again (a case in point is JB whose whereabouts is still unknown), and many more are running away from Rwanda to seek refugee status, all this because of one person Ndahiro and his agents who are thirst of political power.

If Ndahiro's actions, attitudes and decisions are not checked by the powers to be, then people should wake up and analyze the Kigali leadership and her claims of having a record of good governance and upholding principles of human rights! Once again, Ndahiro is a threat to all and no doubt he acts in the name of the government he's serving.

Most of us are committed to continue serving our country, while at the same time vowing to take on the likes of Ndahiro alongside President Kagame whose record of resisting injustices and standing up for truth is still unquestionable to most of us.

For JB has no case to answer, but rather Ndahiro must be told by his boss to produce the former where he is dead (his body) or alive (from his safe house).

Sanyu's whereabouts still unknown

One thing I can say with certainty is that Sanyu, the former boss of The New Times and reportedly kidnapped by Ndahiro's security guys is a major concern.

It is both painful and sad not only to his family but also friends in Rwanda particularly those of us who worked with him in the media.

The public here in Rwanda knows very well that the allegations of embezzlement of funds is his former boss' fabrications to justify why he (Ndahiro) is either holding him in unknown detention or has already killed him. Sanyu is and will not be the first victim who has suffered the same fate in the hands of Ndahiro.

Ndahiro is a known killer and those who are doubting this assertion should wait for their day!

Ndamage C.

Most of people who worked with the former New Times boss and some who have known him since his school days in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, France and United Kingdom are still concerned about his whereabouts.

Surprisingly not even a single journalist raised this matter during the recent President's press conference. I have waited for humanitarian and journalists organizations to engage Ndahiro the killer but in vain.

Is there any conspiracy in all this? Most of us are still concerned about his fate and the trauma of not knowing his fate is unbearable.

RPF puts Ndahiro on the spot

THE RWANDA PATRIOTIC FRONT SECRETARIAT SUMMONS NDAHIRO AND BIDERI OVER MISAPPROPRIATION OF UMUTARA FUNDS

Readers,

I have been reliably informed that the RPF secretariat has taken interest to know more about how money meant for Umutara Polytechnic Information was later pocked by Ndahiro and Bideri (while the latter was still the MD of Orinfor).

For starters, the two gentlemen named above have all along being pursuing the former new times boss alleging that he pocked the money. The Secretariat may have picked interest either after the Chairman and President of Republic intervened to find out, or simply because of Sanyu's defence in court where he showed evidence of how money meant for this institution was rightly channeled to Ndahiro who is the Chairman of the Board.

Please Ndahiro and Bideri, you have been fooling the whole nation that Sanyu pocked the money, but own up or history will judge you harshly! You have both been harassing the young man to the extent of kidnapping him, influencing the prosecution, CID and the judiciary and probably murdering him, all this to hide your corruption.

Hopefully the Chairman of the ruling party will ensure that the two guys don't influence the secretariat's inquiry. Ndahiro is such a treacherous crook, and there's fear that he may influence the findings.

We request the secretariat to force Ndahiro to release Sanyu from his wherever he's keeping him (or his dead body), and to withdraw his security operatives (called them blank Mambas) from the young man's residence.

Ndahiro and Bideri, own up and pay back the institution's money or be fired by the appointing authority! You have to apologize to JB's family and the public for having misled us for this long.

LIKE AMAMA MBABAZI, SHOULD NDAHIRO 'APOLOGIZE'?

Like Amama Mbabazi in Uganda, Ndahiro too has being acted and making people suffer with impunity. The two have something in common, but I have no doubt that Ndahiro is worse.

It is public knowledge in Rwanda that Ndahiro has been kidnapping, torturing, harassing and even killing people. He is Tema-bantu, while John Patrick is Tema-ngalo. It has recently been said on this website and in private gatherings in Rwanda that it is now a month when Sanyu, the former New Times boss was killed under Ndahiro's orders.

Ndahiro's continued arrogance and his continued harassment of the young man's family has gone unchecked. I wish to challenge Ndahiro to call a press conference and clear his name or accept responsibility.

"Karya sausage" instigating insecurity to divert public attention

The carnage going on around the country under the guise of robberies was initiated by "karya sausage" Amama Mbabazi. The intention was to divert focus from Temangalo scam and to terrorise political opponents. The people should demand his resignation.

M7's TIME IS UP

I do support the RK reader in the US when he/she states that Kaguta's time is indeed up. The Good Lord is on our side and the wind of change when democracy will be the rule of the day is blowing down and will soon reach Uganda before you know it.

The Global crisis has opened up the eyes of all the so called Developed Countries. Now they realise that their banking system has to be more transperent than before. Those dictators the likes of M7 who loot money from the poor countries like Uganda and bank it in the so called safe accounts where they cannot be traced is going to be a thing of the past. May be he will now have to transfer his $ 1.7 billion and dig a hole in Rakitura to keep it safe.

President elect OBAMA is known to support this policy of transparent banking system. So M7 return all the looted money to develop our infrastructure. It is ours and stealing from the poor is a great sin in the eyes of the Lord. Yes as I write this am embarked on a campaign to expose M7 and he will soon join his partener in crime NKUNDA in the ICC

On Nkunda and the Congo war

Dear Editor,
This Nkunda man is no stranger to shedding of blood. He is at it again in Eastern RDC. This time claiming he is fighting to protect his fellow Tutsis. But what we see instead is this same man fighting civillians and chasing them from their towns. He has even broken his own ceasefire by advancing his animosity on Congolais. He is even saying he will topple the regime in kinshasa (of course that is laughable) but I cannot under-estimate him. He is being supported by the so called 'Israel of Africa" - you know what I mean here.

But the truth is that time is running out for these criminals. Am happy the international community is taking a hard stance on these goons in Kigali. This time no fooling around. It will be FIRE for FIRE. At least in Washington we now have a new leadership, you never know. Am optimistic Obama wont tolerate this foolery.

It is hightime M7 backed off and let Kagame face the music. With the French reportedly deploying in RDC, and the mighty armed forces of Angola also coming in, things seem to be pretty hot. Goma is NOT FALLING to Nkunda and his gangsters. President Kabila is being blamed for the failures in Kinshasa but no one mentions about who is failing this boy. The day RD Congo stands on its own feet, we wont look back. You can plunder and steal but you will NEVER take the country.

Please Radio Katwe, let your readers not be fooled by the complex relationship between Kagame (of Rwanda), Museven (of Uganda) and Laurent Nkunda (of Congo). Remember that after Rwigema's death, RPF was nearly defeated by the Rwandan government of that time. When Kagame came in as the leader of the rebels (RPF) the first group he called in for help was that of the armed Banyamulenge whose leader was Nkunda. Nkunda's group then came on board with an assurance from Museveni and Kagame that they would, after some time, create a "Tutsi Kingdom". It is known that Museven thought he would be the King of that kingdom only to be disappointed by the 'big-headed boy' - Kagame!

Laurent Nkunda's role in the genocide against the Hutu between 1990-1997 - in some cases up to now, is well known. It is clear to all of us that the three Generals namely Nkunda, Kagame, Museveni are war criminals!

Please RK help us to request Dr Ignace Murwanashyaka, the leader of FDRL to create a secretariat for this part. Let these people, and not necessarily Dr Ignace Murwanashyaka give us their contact address be it phone numbers or e-mail. We want to hear their story. We only hear Kagame's story. Please PK, tell this leader, Dr Ignace Murwanashyaka, to open to the entire world otherwise Kagame is eating up the whole region

English ability not good measure of leadership qualities

I would like to respond one readers comment about M7's time being up. His main concern was that M7 could not speak English. Why should English continue to be the measure of M7's ability... I found that absurd.

Who can tell us about Dutch International?

Dear Radio Katwe,

I thank you for the information you feed us. It really keeps us in the know of hoe things are going on in Uganda. In this way, one can easily escape danger since he/she gets information early.

I would request you to dig out information on a company called Dutch International. It has fleenced the poor Ugandans of their savings they had put in it. Right now their office is closed and we hear their bank account is reading zero. It seems these guys have stolen members cash.

Please if possible unearth these people (who they are and where they have run to)

Other wise continue the good work of feeding us the public scums within our government.

M7, there is no one left to fool

It is so sad to see our African leaders such as Museveni getting excited over Obama's election as a President for they think there will be more chances of getting hand outs from the US in form of aid. But why decide to deplete your own country and expect your country to get enriched from the developed countries? Such is the irony in all this.

Museveni I think now is the time for you to wind up your stay. Don't be extra greedy and hope to get elected for a fourth term. You have lied to the villagers into electing you for so long and by now they know when they look at their dispensaries without drugs, roads full of ditches and how the education system is systematically rotting away, they know your promises are "byoya byanswa" Unless you are planning a major massacre, there is no 4th term for you. We are fed up. Go home! if you even have a one.

Disgusted Citizen.

NRM-O party had nothing to do with NSSF

I don't think that Mbabazi informed him when he went to demand money from NSSF boss to buy shares in a bank. But because Mbabazi is the real Ugandan president, the ceremonial President had to make sure that Mbabazi's individual issues are turned into party issues as if Mababazi consulted the Movement when he went to mess with the workers money.

Why can't the so-called president step aside and the real President takes over?

Obama and the Luo thing - reaping where you have not sown?

Dear RK,

only days after Obamas election and one reader from USA sees this as a LUO affair ?

Obama is not more Luo than he is white. True Museveni hates Nilotics and has either killed them or let Kony kill them. But turning Obamas election into a Luo ethnic victory is a put-off. Technically it is a fact his ancestry is Luo, that is significant and could be something to talk about. But in practice the extent Luo ancestry and culture contributed to his life is debatable because he was not raised as a Luo or even by a Luo.

Without other races and tribes, Obama could not win anything. Without all races and tribes, Obama will not make it as a successful President. He told Americans "This is YOUR victory".

The writer must also not raise his hopes to high. Obama will soon be seen in Company of Museveni. He has already told Ugandans in USA that he will work with Museveni on Ugandas problems. Obama will do that because he is a politician and an American.

Dawn of a new era: Museveni must be exposed

Museveni has been in power since 1986. His rise to power was fueled by his hatred of Northernors aspecially the "Mucholi" one of the Luo tribes in Uganda. The hatred is well documented in his speeches and calling them, "Biological substances, primitive people" etc.

Once in power he kept true to his words and kept them in camps fot over twenty years thereby destroying the cultural fabrics of their existance.

Now that peace is inevitable, Museveni now wants to put Acholis out of their misery by selling off their land to some Investors thereby ensuring that for ever they are slaves in their own land.

Museveni has used the power of money and the machinery of government to accomplish his evil intentions and amessde enomous wealth to himself and his brother.

I am sure Museveni has not done this alone. There are so many Ugandans out there who either were mislead or who have actual evidence to come out and expose the President who is a war criminal.

Bacause of his criminal activities, he will never give up power.

He is right now trying to figure out how to use Obama, a Luo against Luo.

What is good for UNLA is good for UPDF

Dear RK,

its almost amusing to see Mr Etome now saying that he would like too see those Baganda officers treated fairly and promoted just like other qualified professionals.

Its quite obvious that while Etome likes to criticize Museveni, he, like Museveni, has not yet overcome his tribal prejudices. Etome talks emotionally about unity, oneness and nationalism under the same flag, but meserably fails to practice what he preaches.

About the Baganda Officers named, Etome was direct. He accused them of short-sightness. He wrote that they should now bow their heads in shame for having supported a thief. According to Etome, if they helped a thief, they must be accountable to their actions. Etome, who, in the same latter, had just appealed to the notion of feeling for others that are treated unfairly even if they belong to a different tribe other than ours, never even attempted to indicate that he felt for these Baganda. Why ? because, according to him, it was their fault that they sided with a " bastard "

But when the story comes to former Officers / men of UNLA, Good Etome turned into a defence advocate. He said that blaming them is missing the point. Why ? because, according to him, those were innocent Ugandans who happened to have been used / misled by the politicians. This time, the officers who surely belonged to a nototious army that subjected civilians to all sorts of attrocities, including massacres in Nile Mansion, Makindye, Lubiri, Katabi, Kawempe, Katikamu and allover Luwero, are not expected to bow their heads in shame for helping Obote in terrorising a selected section of Ugandas population ?

If this is not sad hypocricy, what is it ? Are there several sets of rules for several groups of Ugandans ?If the answer is yes, how can Etome be blaming Museveni for pardoning some of the thieves that he considers " good Ugandans who were trained on our taxes to serve under the flag " ?
