The 'hunter' is serving beef but who is 'eating'?
Dear Radiokatwe,
Our contacts in UPDF/Ministry of Defence, Uganda Police/Uganda Prisons/Ministry of Internal Affairs Procurement departments have received quotations from the farm manager in charge of the President's two farms (Kisozi and Rwakitara) to sell them old bulls for Christmas and New Year celebrations.
What is annoying the procurement departments is that the bulls are old and priced above the market rate.
For instance, the farm manager has indicated that he can supply;
-- UPDF 600 bulls at a cost of 800,000/= each (to be slaughtered on the 25th and 1st January 2009)
-- Uganda Police 300 bulls at the same cost (to be slaughtered on the 25th and 1st January 2009)
-- Uganda Prison 240 bulls at the same cost (to be slaughtered on the 25th and 1st January 2009)
-- PGB 160 bulls at a cost of 650,000/= to be slaughtered over an 8 day period starting on the 24th December till the 1st of January 2009.
Radio Katwe, please investigate this theft by the Commander in Chief of the armed forces and political peddling considering that it is not open tender and the procurement departments are being forced to take it as it is.

Moreover the sub hunters also want their piece of the action
Dear Radiokatwe,
Please urgently investigate our Inspector General of Police (IGP), Major General Kale Kayihura.
He is doing inside trading by instructing the Police Force to buy goats from his Ssembabule farm at very high prices as Christmas gifts to Police Offices to buy their loyalty. This is a bribe and belittling us.

As Kellen snatches Balagade's meat from under his nose
Thanks for exposing the truth especially of the first family and its close associates.
You may not believe this but Kellen Kayonga the sister to Jovia Saleh (wife to Salim Saleh) connived with Gen Tinyefuza and president Museveni to get Balagade's contract of taking Ugandan guards to Iraq.
It is a long story but people in the government of Uganda are so greedy that whenever a non-Muhima gets a deal, they will have to find a way of finishing him off.

Museveni tapping Arab dollars through Mubajje
Dear RK,
during the dark days the 70's, Amin used to appoint his own "Chief Khadis" to lead Islam. Because Amins government was totally broke, Amin used Islam to trap foreign money. He used the Chief Khadis and their teams from Old Kampala to go and tell rich Arabic / Islamic nations that money was needed to convert all Uganda citizenz to Islam. When the money come in millions of dollar, Amin diverted a lot of it in importing his own tinned foods, wines, Whisky and expensive perfumes for his many women from England. One aeroplane was given a secret permission to land at Stansted Airport for only this mission.
Fellow Ugandans, history is repeating itself!
As we speak, Museveni has his own "chief Khadi" in the names of Shiek Mubajje. Mubajje does not lead Islam, he works for Museveni. That is why he is protected by Musevenis private Brigade and goes around like he was an American commander in Badgad.
Its a well known fact that Museveni hates everything to do with Islam. He neither respectes muslims nor their religion. But through his agent Mubajje, Museveni manages to dupe those rich Arabic / Islamic nations that if they keep on sending in money into Uganda, Islam is going to benefit and grow. Its all an act to trap Oil money.
Fellow Ugandans, especially muslims, be informed that Mubajje is an major liabitity to Islam.
The court found that this Shiek is a LIER. He was told so in his face and advised to go and examine his conscience. How can a respected religion be led by somebody who has been found to be a lier? Why Is Musevenis government protecting him when we have been told that mixing religion with politics is a bad thing by the same government?
The answer is very clear. Museveni wants the public to see what Islam deserves : a thieving corrupt bearded liar as the face of Islam.
Mubajje must be rejected. He is an agent of confusion. Islam can do better than that.

What was Rwandan spy boss doing in Kampala?
RK
Information reaching Kampala has revealed that Ndahiro, the reknown killer was spotted in Kampala Wed, Nov 19 trying to meet M7. Could it be that both are planning how to jointly carry on with their killing spree in DRC.
However M7 is credited for playing his dirty politics in a free and non populated media environment; unlike Ndahiro and his crew who have persecuted the media, particularly a free and independent media in Rwanda. The likes of Bizumuremye Bonaventure, John Bosco Sanyu who have campaigned for it, have been sent to gallows by the power to be in Kigali. The rest like Gasasira, Kabonero and Burasa are constantly being harassed and persecuted with all sorts of trumped charges.
M7 ought to shun the Rwandan leadership; and rather resort to putting his house (NRM-O) in order. Failure to adhere to this advise may lead you to continue associating with killers of a free press (Journalists)and killers of Congolese people.

Beti Kamya stories fabricated by Wafula Oguttu's agents
Dear RK,
I read with some bemusement the two articles written about Beti Kamya in the Readers' Letters issue of 17th Nov. Some of the allegations border on the amusing, to be honest. Claims that she donned a hijab to gallivant around town to clandestine meetings with Museveni, organised a car break-in, bugged offices, sunk Leather & Tanning before selling beer, are really the work of an amateur fabricator who ought to use Wafula Oguttu's money better than that.
Anyone who knows Beti even a tiny bit can see that what we have here is a principled woman who has dared to swim with the sharks, armed with only the swords of truth and justice. Beti's real crime was to lift the lid off the tribalistic element in FDC and in so doing, completely derail the process of mobilising the grassroots in Buganda. The party has ground to a near-halt in Buganda, its mobilisers having abandoned it after being accused of being Beti's 'militias'.
For that, Wafula Oguttu has personally vowed to pursue Beti to extinction. Being a former media man himself, he has excellent connections in the news media, who have successfully managed to distort the truth and turn many against Beti.
Fortunately the grassroots in Buganda are firmly behind Beti. They see right through the wild allegations levelled against her. They see that FDC belongs to Beti's past. Her future is much, much more exciting! She is showing them - and other Ugandans - that they can unite their vote as a block and wrest what is theirs from Museveni's kleptocracy. They are listening - and loving it!!
Not even Wafula Oguttu's lies can stop the force of this brave, new concept.

Mr Opolot, don't take the people of Teso for granted
Dear RK,
I would like to disagree with the state house Analyst who described Mr. Opolot as a young bright Ugandan. Much as I don't know this guy (Opolot), I cannot be convinced to think he is bright, owing to his opinion to the world. If physically he is young, his mind is totally corrupted and dead. I clarify this further. How can I spare a person who doesn't think beyond his stomach (as made known by the people from Teso)? What he is doing is usually done by hooligans, who are given some little token and they glorify the source all over. Mr. Opolot has a right to express his opinion, but to say M7 is popular is a mistake. May be he doesn't understand the word. Mr. Opolot, don't regard the pictures of M7 you have hung everywhere to mean his popularity. I guess, in the worst case scenario, you have one picture in your bedroom and one in your toilet, overseeing all your actions in those places. Well done, and consider him for 4th term.
Secondly, it is difficult to comment whether Mr. M7 can win a free and fair election because there has never been one like that since he came to power. Those who supported him, well done. Day by night we are crying in your names. The outcome may not be felt now, but if what I read is correct, then you need to find a way of coming into harmony with us. But how is this possible when he (M7) has a mission to accomplish? Some of you are getting salvation for being honest and sacrificing their lives.
Lastly, I would like to assure Mr. Opolot, unlike him, the people of Teso are not fools. In the last elections (2006), they expressed their anger on Opolot's boss clearly in the votes. Well done people. They joined the people of Northern Uganda who have never been asleep whatsoever. We read from papers that nowadays M7 has started pouring money in Lira like leaves, to build churches, etc. well done, but God has already rejected the money because he knows what the money is meant for and how it was acquired. I guess even the religious leaders did not receive the money with ease, if they mean what they preach. I am not any stumbling block to development, but I believe in the truth. Go ahead, use the money and pray with confidence. You are not any part of the faults, but should you risk voting contrary to what you are, it will be like eating meat sacrificed to evil spirits. You people used to have strong politicians, what happened to them? They will pay for giving in like prostitutes. They will eat for now, good luck, but if they remain alive, they will be deployed where they wouldn't like. We have known their new friend for long.
Concerned Ugandan.

Museveni reinvents self as environmentalist!
Poor His Excellency Yoweri Museveni - The Visionary ! when did he start being friendly to the environment. After many many years of neglect why is he waking up, albeit late and stopping the destruction of forests? Who wanted to erase the whole of Mabira forest to give room to "investors" to palnt sugar cane and "create jobs"? Who authorized the leasing out of forest reserves to high-ranking officials to cut trees and then plant trees? Whose Vice President was given a whole foret in Mukono District? Whose people have been indiscriminately harvesting hard wood which takes decades if not hundreds of years to mature? Just look at this. Think for a momment, what's going on here and who is kidding who?

Is Amama using UAE trip to plot for his expiry date?
I had never written to Radio Katwe though, for a very long time now, I hardly miss any article posted on this informative channel.
A few weeks ago, someone wrote in these pages advising NSSF managers to consider investing into Dubai properties. He went a long way to show how profitable it is.
There is a major point he left out: Property dealers here give a guarantee of 40% annual return of your investment for three years, meaning that the investor is assured of getting back the money within three years and remains with the property. The managers participate in looking for tenants, and the tenants are indeed available.
So, Patrick Amama Mababazi must be a regualr reader of Radio Katwe. He landed in Dubai on Nov. 23 morning aboard Emirates Airlines. He is in town in the company of Sam Kahamba Kuteesa hobnobbing with some Indians, thought to be carrying out investment transactions.
The biggest point however is not how the visionary ones fail to guide country bodies like the NSSF for a better investment or (the point is not) self profiteering. As Ugandans, we're accustomed to such shenanigans. The point is for the Akazu individual to start getting worried of their future. Again someone raised it in these pages that they will not have anywhere to hide.
We're for example getting this information from the people you'd think do not care, the "down-trodden". They're keenly following. And disgusted.
Mbabazi and co. have tried to invest in their NRM singers in the United Arab Emirates, organising them parties in the ballrooms of posh hotels such as Hyatt Regency in the name of organising Uganda's skilled labours. They're but roting for 2011. The "skilled labours" seem to be individuals born from Lyantonde along the way to Kigali (and not all of them as you know because Besigye's of this world are also borns of that area, but the point is clear).
The Hyatt "skilled" club think that the rest of Ugandans here are fools. They're not fools, but they have nothing much to do except watch until when your expiry date reaches.
Citizen Concerned,
UAE.

The problem with Africa is: look in the mirror
RK,
There are some contributors who still think Africans can solve their problems. No, Africans will never solve their problems because they are problem. Rwandese: Tutsi, Hutu and Batwa will never solves their current problem; they only recycle it. Neither DR Congo, Somalia, Zimbabwe, nor any other African country currently in conflict will solve their problems, without the intervention of the Western powers.
The African politicians are the embodiment of all manners of problems. Museveni, Kagame, Mugabe, etc are problems on two legs. That is why they are good at nothing but causing problems in the Great Lake Region and Southern Africa (for Mugabe).
But at the end of the day it is still the former colonial masters who are to step in to solve the problem. For example, Museveni and Kagame caused genocide in Rwanda and Congo, but are not ashamed to blame France and Belgium for not stopping it.
Except South Africa, most African contries got their independenceit amost 50 years ago; but look at the interminable confusion they are in. They continue to complain about the Berlin Conference in 1884 under which Africa was partitioned and parceled out among the colonial masters. But 50 years later the Afican countries' borders are more etnically accurate than they were in 1884.
In Uganda Museveni is even causing more problems; splintering Uganda into unmanageable micro districts. Has it brought us anywhere near to solving the ad hoc partition by colonialists?
If these borders are the problem, no African country is willing to delete these borders so that Africans are free to move all over the continent without any hindrence. In the US Americans can move on their continent from coast to coast without any hindrance.
When their so-called democracy fails, they console themselves and say we are still young. How old for example is Museveni, Mugabe, Kibaki, Hosni Mubarak of Egypt, etc? These are not babies , but selfish, grumpy old men who think the country owes them a living. From an African context, if Uganda was a human being she would be a grandparent, even great grandparent; considering that most African women start giving birth at below 16 years of age.
To continuously justify or blame our social, economic and political failures on colonialism and being democratically young is to say the least stupid.

RWB to Sudan: "don't hide problems, deal with them"
Reporters Without Borders
25 November 2008 : SUDAN
For the good of the country, stop censoring
Censorship is useless because it is powerless against reality. What is the point of raids by security agencies on printing presses and newspaper offices? Suppressing reports does not change what you are trying to cover up. A problem is not solved by being masked. Keeping journalists under surveillance, threatening editors and closing newspapers just show the government's repressive side, expose its weaknesses and create enemies. This is the message that Reporters Without Borders would like to convey to the Sudanese authorities.
When we visited Khartoum and El-Fasher in March 2007, we were impressed by the vitality of the Khartoum-based press and the hopes that had been raised by the 2005 peace accord. In a published report entitled "An investigation into a tragedy's forgotten actors," we stressed how "active and diverse" Sudan's media and civil society were, and we condemned the western media's failure to reflect this important aspect of contemporary Sudan.
But current developments are giving us the lie. Khartoum's privately-owned media are beginning to suffocate and yield to fault-finding security agents who have no place in newspaper offices or their printing presses. Raids and confiscation of issues have been followed by closures or coercive measures by state agencies. All this keeps sabotaging newspapers, forcing them to live in fear and depriving them of significant resources.
The journalists themselves can no longer bear this straightjacket, the way they are mistrusted and treated like children by their own government. As if they were responsible for the problems which Sudan is experiencing and which they report to the Sudanese. As if by punishing and harassing them, the government could change any aspect of this reality. It is the readers, not the security agencies, who can best judge and punish a newspaper. All they have to do is stop buying it.
The absurd attempt to suppress the reality reported by the Khartoum media resumed on 6 February 2008. It was then that the government secretly decided to restore censorship, an archaic procedure whose disappearance in 2005 was hailed by the entire world. The security agencies began their repressive work on 10 February, eliminating an article from Al-Sahafa. In the days that followed, they prevented Al-Rai al-Shaab from publishing, they interrogated the editors of Al-Ahdaht and Al-Watan at length, they interrogated the editors of Al-Wifaq, Al-Midan, Al-Sudani and Al-Rai al-Aam, and they made nightly visits to Al-Midan's printing press to have articles removed… The list of incidents has not let up since then.
In an attempt to get the country's rulers to see reason, the staff of Ajras al-Hurriya, Al-Maidan and Al-Rai al-Shaab protested 4 November, few days after an Al-Intibaha journalist was arrested for an article that clearly displeased the authorities.
Are the Sudanese any less worried? Is Sudan in less of a crisis? No, the censorship has obviously not helped. The news, if it is true, exists regardless of the newspapers and circulates all the same. That is why Reporters Without Borders urges the Sudanese authorities to lift these absurd and unconstitutional measures that occupy state employees to no purpose and pointlessly punish educated and responsible citizens, both journalists and readers.
In the end, censorship renders a greater service to those who thrive in the breeding-ground of rumour and false hope of freedom than to responsible Sudanese who are proud of being able to criticise and of being criticised, proud of being able to face reality with their eyes open. Censorship is pointless, absurd and dangerous. It is time to consign it to a troubled past.
By Jean-François Julliard and Léonard Vincent of Reporters Without Borders. Jean-François Julliard is Reporters Without Borders secretary-general. Léonard Vincent is the Paris-based organisation's head of information.

Police, witnesses want to reveal child sacrifices, are you ready?
Dear RK,
Fellow Ugandans, how many more times shall we see torsos of our children being carried because rich business men and women paid a mere 300,000 Shillings for their little heads before we do something to stop it? How long is this lunacy going to continue?
Within Kampala, there are several devil shrines in which people are killed, women and men are raped and the authorities do not care at all. It is an open secret that in Uganda, 99% of business people, pastors and politicians visit the ever increasing devil shrines.
The story of a labourer who witnessed his employer murder a little girl by pouring concrete on her while alive has only come out after two years. He feared to go to the police because of what happened to Candida. Very many children are buried in those new buildings in Kampala because the owners are mostly primitive people who got their wealth through devil worship and fake cheques.
The Police should open a file and ask people to give information in confidence. There are people willing to come forward and give evidence of what the buried in the concrete as they built, Babirye's houses, Kizito's houses, Bugembe's houses, Magembe's houses and many others including houses of pastors.
Many people fear to come forward because the Police of Uganda is not for poor people. The rich people always buy their way out.
Police wake up. The people of Buganda are just waking up because their land is going.

Members, people abroad need photos. Please send them
thank you for your tireless efforts for keeping us informed about the state of affairs in our beloved Uganda. I was reading news on the BBC website and came across an article in the African section with graphic evidence on why aid to Africa has not developed the region. See
The pitfalls of Africa's aid addiction
The writer, Sorious Samura from Sierra Leone in West Africa was in Uganda and took photos of what goes on in Mulago hospital the national refferal hospital. There are pictures of pregnant mothers with their new borns lying in the corridors of the hospital, a man bleeding to death in the hospital corridor. It is a very shocking experience my brothers and sisters and I bet even the president is not aware of this as he never visits hospitals but hotels.
My humble request to Radio katwe team is to urge all ugandas to take pictures of such, collapsed primary schools, UPE classes being held under trees, the police living conditions, mansions of corrupt officials, patients dying unattended, potholes etc. We need to show the world what is going on.
please improve the site to accomodate photos to upload.

PAM, shape up and stop ashaming us
PAM AWARDS DISGUSTING
I used to enjoy the PAM awards before, that is when they would announce winners who potrayed the true image of our local music.
Of late, the event has not only lost meaning but it is disgusting to say the least. How on earth can Bebe Cool who croaks like a frog become the best male artist?! Fellow Ugandans, are we witnessing similar trends like what happeneed in the Temagalogate scandal?
People out there must be laughing at Uganda to have someone who does not even qualify to be thought of as an up-coming musician taking the crown of best male artist of the year. Even Raggae! When we have these guys who sang Zuena which ironically sounds like a praise-song for Bebe's wife!
It was equally disgusting to see the same showy guy on stage in London singing on Nelson Mandela's birthday! I read that Zain sponsored him, but can't Zain find someone better? The millions who viewed the fellow jumping up and down trying to sing the late Philly Lutaya's Born in Africa were shocked to say the least.
Imagine the fellow could not find any palatable song among his so-called long list, simply because the fellow is a non-starter.
He even couldn't sing Philly's song to near satisfaction.
It is high time we told the likes of Zain and PAM Award organisers that Ugandans deserve something better than this amatuerish fellow.

UK Torries, do they mean busines or same ol' rhetoric for votes?
Dear R K,
Just for the benefit of other RK readers, let me quote from the British broadsheet paper, The Daily Telegraph of 13/11/08, page 17, entitled "Tories demand inquiry into aid corruption".
Paragraph 5 goes on to say: Another "35 million was given to Uganda , despite reports that President Yoweri Museveni was planning to buy a new $24 million G5 Gulf stream jet. Uganda was accused of 'serious mismanagement' of tens of millions of dollars intended for HIV/Aids campaign three years ago. Under the policy of 'general budget support', Britain hands money directly to governments in developing countries. It can be spent how they like and according to their own audit system. Andrew Mitchell the Conservative's International Development Secretary spokesman, will say today that it is time to say whether taxpayers have got value for money from their donations.
The Conservatives are expected to form the next UK government. It remains to be seen whether they will practise what they are preaching now, when they take the reigns of power. Past experience tells the writer that Labour or Conservatives, they are all the same as regards their Africa policy. As regards the GLR they have to appease Museveni in order to facilitate their plan for 'stealing' juicy Eastern DRC . If however this statement suggests a sincere change of policy then it would be a most welcomed move by the people of this country, from Westminster .
I must add that even without the $35 million fund the Telegraph is referring to, Mr Museveni has already stolen enough of our money to afford to buy that plane "cash", which is what he did. The plane is a very important life line for M7, because it will be useful for, inter alia, delivering his illegal cargos, and eventually to facilitate his smooth escape, should the people of Uganda wake up to bring an end to their suffering and humiliation by this ex refugee. Meanwhile our MPs are being treated with "hot air" that the purchase of the plane still requires their approval.
- - - - - - - - - - -
Please allow me some further comments in support of two articles which appeared in your website dated 17/11/08, one entitled "M7 indirectly involved in Congo mess" and the other, "Congo conflict about minerals not ethnic hatred" by Muhinda Ryangombe.
I agree entirely with the first article and substantially with the second article.
By now it should be clear to our politicians in the GLR why the Tutsi warlords in the region are acting with such defiance and impunity It is because they are fighting a proxy war to realize Anglo-Saxon dream of ceding mineral rich Eastern DRC. The timing is so right because the evil empire realizes that the Pan-Africanism of the 60s and 70s died with the Nkrumahs and Nyereres. In their place we have mostly a bunch of mediocres, turn coat socialists or cut-throat thieves, ex-bank robbers and murderers as is the case of the Tutsi rulers of Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi, who gained power and are maintained in power as a result of foreign machinations. In return they, with the help of their tribal armies are ruling the region as they like, without any genuine elections, or observance of human rights laws.
It is on record that the British made several attempts in the last century, even just before Congo's independence in 1960 to acquire Eastern Congo ( Leopoldville ) but these attempts failed. The no nonsense independence speech of Patrick Lumumba sent alarm bells ringing both in Belgium and the UK, the new suitor, lurking in the dark.
Unknown at the time, that the UN was just another tool of Anglo-Saxon and Western alliance, African leaders accepted the deployment of UN troops in the Congo to protect the elected government, just like there is one in the DRC today. It is now common knowledge that the Americans, despite the presence of UN troops assassinated Mr. Patrice Lumumba, Mr.Joseph Oketo (president of the senate and the second most powerful man), etc in cold blood.
Since then Western companies have looted the country's resources mercilessly, causing more than six million African lives. It is amazing that the Congolese leaders don't seem to know their recent history! Notice that once again the UN troops are in fact more concerned about protecting the quack Gen. Nkundabatware, and not the legitimate government in Eastern DRC or the ordinary people of the DRC. That is why their attack is directed at the Mai-Mai and not against Nkundabatware, whom they also describe as a rebel. Instead quack Gen. Nkundabatware is respectfully treated and being protected to facilitate the looting of the region by the various kangaroo Western companies. The scheme is backed by powerful politicians in especially Washington and London. Mr.Jonas Savimbi was protected in the same way for about two decades, until things fell apart. This is why right now those involved in the dirty deals in our region are dying to secure the post of US Foreign Secretary, so that business continues as usual, if not, the post will at least give them the opportunity to cover up their tracks.
The Times of London of 18/11/08 devotes two full broad sheet pages (6&7) to the story of the high-jacked cargo ship, entitled "Supertanker with $100m of Saudi oil is biggest prize yet for Somali pirates". What has not been told is that Western companies are now using Somalia's coastline as a dumping ground for nuclear and other toxic wastes. What we have also not been told is that the other, similar high-jacked ship, a few weeks ago, was full of M7's consignment of arms and chemical weapons meant for use in the DRC war now going on. After that Ugandans can be sure that the some of the chemicals, which M7 first tried to acquire unsuccessfully early this year will be turned on us Notice that the Americans were frantically trying to explain away the destination of the cargo(as Southern Sudan), just to ensure that Uganda's name does not appear in it. When will God's patience run out on this evil empire?
As for the Tutsi warlords in the region, who have decided to take on the peoples of the entire region, they would do well to learn how some of the African and Asian peoples who sacrificed so many of their loved ones, for the empire have since been forgotten. A very good example is the Nepalese Gurkhas who were for centuries used by the British during their many "resource" wars but are now discarded.
The way things are going on in the region the Tutsi leaders need to be lucky every day of their lives. They are warned that it might take just the twinkle of an eye for their fortunes to miscarry altogether. Meanwhile the chances are that more of their leaders could soon follow the path of Rose Kabuye, arrested briefly in France but conditionally released, only because the true culprits are sitting pretty in Kigali and Kampala , enjoying the protection of being sitting Heads of States. This is a nonsensical law, after all did not America (USA) seize Nicaragua's Noriega from his presidential palace, off to a U S secret location! Is it not clear now why M7 has to rig elections in order to escape the ICC! Beware fellow countrymen and women, the chemical weapons for 2011 are now in place!.

Remembering Zubairi Atamvaku Nasseem
Dear Radio Katwe,
I am an american who was in brief contact with Zubairi Atamvaku Nasseem . He frequented a poetry site that I also visited and we used to have many interesting discussions about Africa and America both. I am very very saddened to read of his death. Here is a link to many of his poems that he left on our poetry site.

Dear Radio Katwe:
Some friends and I have found your site through a web search for one of our acquaintances, Zubairi Atamvaku Nasseem. Your article http://radiokatwe.com/baruhazawasomi080723.htm mentions him (we believe) and talks of his death. If there is any additional information we would be most pleased to hear it.
Our knowledge of Zubairi is only through his association with us as a poet on our website, PoetryPages.com. His moving works and his extremely intelligent and thoughtful commentary on other poems were always greatly treasured. We have created an "archive" for his poems on our site, but have, sadly, lost most of his comments.
If the Zubairi mentioned in your article is indeed our dear friend of the Poetry Pages, we are deeply saddened at the loss of such a remarkable soul.
Our sincerest best wishes go out to his family and to the people of Uganda.
Sincerely;

Dr Ndahiro, the man who never sleeps
It is very scandalizing the way Kagame's loyal servant, Ndahiro aka spy is behaving. We thought that he has only been abusing his (our public office) office by harassing people who are a threat to his presidential thirst.
Not at all, he has been on another crusade. According to government intelligence, the spy chief has been questioned by his boss (the President) about his relationship with one Kayitesi Anick with whom he'd had a long term intimate relationship.
Ndahiro's love bird Kayitesi Anick had been working in the first lady's office. Apparently, Ndahiro had taken advantage of his relationship with Anick to quietly gather information about the first lady.
Ndahiro had been using an NSS (spy agency) staff called Damascene (will find out his other name) to pass messages to his chick who he had been seen 'cuddling' in his office sometimes as early as 11am. Damascene too is thought to have secretly extracted his fair share of 'sweet love' as he conducted her back and forth through his hands for his boss.
Surprisingly, this lady decided to flee Rwanda allegedly for fear of her life. She is now living in France, ever on radios criticizing the Kagame government.
Ndahiro's strategy of using sex to access intelligence information will undermine the government. Though the president still considers his blue eyed boy as resourceful, I am afraid it is high time he got rid of him to save the nation from scandal.

A Northerners Perspective
Dear RK,
I am more than happy for all kinds of truth you unveil, mostly to Ugandans. Keep up this apostolic work so that, in the end, a serious Ugandan would have a better perspective of colleagues from other regions.
In this letter, I am crying out as a Northerner, and more so a student, who wouldn't want to encounter any form of discrimination in my own country. For many years, I (if not most young people from my Sub-region) have been in fear of our colleagues from Buganda region, not because we hate them, but due to a wrong image of us that was told to them.
What kept most of us embarrassed was the loss of innocent lives in Buganda during the bush war in Luweero. Those skulls I saw during the early 1990s were painful, crying out and surely, those who helped them reach that status will pay heavily (be it a northerner, a westerner and oh yes a muganda). But I am praying hard for those who were forcefully made to do it. Remember, I was too young by then.
The fact which cannot be hidden is 'The Warrior Started the War and Conducted the Atrocities'. Unfortunately, this was blamed on someone else and most Baganda were convinced to believe, hence causing the said fear and hatred. But one very important thing is that some few elders in Buganda who were at the scene and saw the real killers have held on a single and true statement and help to inform all the Ugandans.
I am happy with Tinka's testimony where his father almost condemned a colleague Muganda for telling the truth and casting his worries for the future of Uganda. On my part, I managed to consult some elders from my Sub-region (most of whom were in the army during Luweero times). They have repeatedly told me that the killings were done by the rebels (guys who managed to acquire UNLA government army uniforms-remember, they also helped to chase Amin, but could not paint themselves black as the Luos and did not speak Lwo).
They admitted some cases of torture by the UNLA especially on those who were collaborators, which torture they have also said the civilian president did not support.
When I was in Western Uganda (Bushenyi) for an industrial training, I was so much liked by the Banyankole there. The elders, most of whom spoke to me through their daughters and sons, said Obote was a president of the people and did not discriminate. During my encounter with them, I realized that most of them (Banyankole) were equally unhappy of the current regime especially for corruption, greed for power and the overall wrong image it has brought on them as a tribe. The only few who are happy and involved are 'The Want to Eat Alone Group' from the questionable sect of the Banyankole. To tell the truth, most Banyankole are living in fear. They know the Lion better and would not want to fall victims. They too need to be liberated like any other Ugandans.
To end this chapter, I would like to call upon the Baganda to unlearn what was being held and start seeing the Northerners in their real colour. Those who cannot, I wish them well. On our part as Northerners, we don't have any problem with any Ugandan. Those who have stayed in our region can bear me witness. We welcome once again those who had thrown us out of their memory and shall forgive accordingly. Above all, the truth is clear and only a fool can contradict.
Lastly, I would like to let Ugandans know a short perspective of my personal experience of the Northern war. Dear RK and readers, for twenty or so years, Northern Uganda has been crying to the fullest. It has been an open field for sacrificing human lives. If I may recall, How many times did I escape death narrowly? How many times did I have my studies interrupted? How many times did I have to beg for shelters with relatives in town inorder to avoid the terrible life in the IDP camps? How does it feel for children to be forced to help eliminate their relatives? How does it feel for someone to be ordered to leave his crops almost ready for harvest and later start receiving meagre humanitarian aids? I am not saying this aid did not help but we did not deserve to suffer in the first place.
I think the people of Luweero somehow understand what I am talking about. If one day, the northerners are to think of gathering the skulls (which I don't recommend) like it was done in Luweero, the heaps can be assembled from Cairo to Cape Town.
What do I really want Ugandans to know? The Kony war has been handled in two phases. Kony and his men carried out the abductions and lootings of foodstuff and livestocks. The young men and women abducted were later used as child soldiers and wives. A few of them escaped and gave their testimonies. Those who resisted lost their lives.
Kony's actions in Northern Uganda have been similar to those in Southern Sudan, DRC, etc. In Uganda, unfortunately, whenever they were doing these, they could not be intercepted instantly. I think this was intentional, considering the manpower government had.
Then, trust me, those who carried out the killings, cutting of peoples parts, burning of houses, raping of women, etc, were different from Kony. I am not a rebel supporter and I will never be, and I do get disturbed a lot when Northerners get branded as "Pro-Kony", so that the real guilty ones concerned can act the way they want.
Those people of second phase actions, lived next to the IDP camps. They would order people to leave their homes immediately and shortly start burning the houses and killing those who took time to leave. This move was tactical (I suppose they may have got such skills during the Luweero war). Remember some of us who were able could run and look behind to witness what was happening (very risky, some of my friends were netted and are no more). What I saw is what I am reporting. Very painful experience.
I lost many of my dear ones in the process, some of whom we could not bury in our own soils and mourn the way we were supposed. Sorry, I have exceeded what I thought I could, but I think I have tried my best to remain objective and not be unduly influenced by emotions.
Now my last pont is, the ICC should act responsibly, objectively, humanely and avoid subjectivity. It should punish the 'Robber' for the lootings and the 'Lion' for the killings. It should not give either of them time to transfer the blame. This is the Northerner's perspective. May the brief stay of Obama's great grand parents in Northern Uganda give sense to Ugandans. Amen.
Once again RK, I will be happy to find this article online.
For God and My Country.

The M7 spy who loved me
A BIG WARNING TO ALL UGANDANS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM
I salute you all the readers and I just want to warn ugandans in the UK to be very careful when talking about M7. There are many ordinary looking spies amongs us.
I once attended a church in the United Kingdom and came across a Mukiga Lady who was so nice to every body. Nobody including myself ever thought that she is actually in contact with M7. She pretended to live a simple life, does not wear expensive clothes neither did she have a car. She used only buses and trains just like anybody. I met her and we had a chat about sensisive issues. This is when she opened to me that she is in NRM government and a M7 supporter and some of her relatives have got fat posts in M7's government. I was so shocked and I couldn't believe my ears and she even told me how she used to feel sorry for Ugandans who used to talk about M7 in her prescence.
This could happen to anybody. Stay alert dear bretheren, don't trust everybody, otherwise, you are digging your own grave indirectly.
