Fellow Ugandans,
The other day we were here listening to our favorite FM radio 'Radio Katwe' and reading this article by Dr. Frank Nabwiso in reference to Obote's contribution to Uganda. I'll talk about this article later.
Many of us agreed it is now obvious that both Milton Obote (RIP) and Idd Amin (RIP) did more for both the country Uganda and the ordinary man.
In our group, we joined FRONASA in the early 70s as young men. We were indoctrinated by Yoweri who is now turning out to be one of the fakest human beings I have ever met. He used to tell us this Obote was a very bad man worse than Amin and it was imperative that both must be fought at every opportunity.
And we did carry out a lot of sabotage and criminal activities in the 70s to discredit Amin. Later during the early 80s, also we were highly involved in violence and criminal related activities to discredit the likes of the late Lule, Binaisa and the late Paulo Muwanga governments.
Then we continued these activities during the 1980 - 1985 Luweero war to discredit Obote and win over the support of the population in those areas like Luweero and Mukono where we were based. Its true past regimes had their own problems but our campaign was very successful because up to now most Ugandans hate all past regimes without thinking twice. But for us in hindsight and seeing the way Yoweri has governed this country, we are now full of shame.
All these so-called historicals you see and hear about, I highly doubt that when they return home at the end of the day, they are proud of what is taking place in the country. To be sure many of them now live in shame and regrets but they hide it.
In FRONASA since early 70s I became a senior officer. I have experience in all fields including intelligence gathering, analysis and counter-intelligence. Speaking sincerely, I can assure Ugandans that most of the people you see today singing that Museveni should rule forever will be the first ones to sell him given any opportunity. Not many have the courage to say what they really believe so instead they sing 4th term.
The fact is people are so disgusted with this visionary of Yoweri. Let it be in Army, Police forces, NRM party, civil service and even in the elite PGB there are so many defections you can't believe.
To tell you something if people working in intelligence today did not love the country and blindly followed Yoweri as we did when we were young in the 70s and 80s, you would see so many people being arrested on a daily basis. People who are not aware say things are safe yet the fellow always wants to start arresting even senior army officers, civil servants and some of these NRM MPs. In fact, opposition members who are harrassed and arrested are very innocent. The guilty are NRM members and some army officers. These opposition people pose no security risk to the country and when these fellows are arrested, there is always sympathy for them. We are not fools, we see and know the truth and we praise them silently for the courage of speaking up when it is not convenient. That is the true courage.
For the sake of the country I know senior officers won't arrest members of the opposition for nothing. In preference it should be Yoweri under arrest for we all know of his selfishness, greed, using people to do crimes and just dumping them anyhow. It is only the young rogue elements who still believe in Museveni that you see rushing about arresting and torturing fellow Ugandans. They will come to their senses and cry one day but it will be too late. But hardly any senior member will be engaged in an act that will prolong Yoweri's stay. Nobody should fool Ugandans that Yoweri is loved by senior cadres. Everyone has seen through his hypocrisy and lies.
So in our group after seeing this article by Dr. Nabwiso, we looked back in shame. Dr. Nabwiso is from Busoga region from what I read from his article, but I am sure many other leaders (I mean the elders) from different parts of Uganda will come out and tell you that the late Obote and Amin did much more for their regions also, and Uganda as a whole than NRM have done. It may not have been perfect but at least there was some little progress and the country was moving in the right direction.
Whenever we people from western Uganda visit our elders, fathers and uncles in the villages they are quick to remind us that both Obote and Amin were better leaders and in general did more for the people in the villages.
However much we bring them lots of sugar, meat, rice and money every weekend from Kampala, some of them openly tell you they are fully aware that we have just stolen the money and yet their fellow villagers who don't have sons in eating posts are very much worse off than in previous regimes. There is no major economic activities taking place anywhere and their children are all ending up in the army because sincerely there is nothing else to do. These are the thousands of young men you see Museveni manipulating and brain washing to carry out his dirty works against Ugandans.
I believed in Museveni strongly and joined him under FRONASA. My father was very much against it. For him he was a staunch UPC like most westerners. Now 30 plus years later, I and many of my colleagues now in UPDF (former NRA), we shall forever live in shame and regret for the part we played in destroying the country called Uganda.
Wherever you look, you see a decaying country. Daily we receive intelligence reports of mismanagement in all sectors of the country, from each and every government institution, all ministries, the army, police, State House, Parliament, our party NRM, you just see a country decaying yet Yoweri is busy thumping his chest claiming he has done wonders. Ugandans should just rise up before it is too late otherwise they will have no country left. It is not far fetched to see us in a situation like eastern Congo or Somalia considering what is happening. If Ugandans think they have a government, I wish them well, but for some of us who know the inside, we see a time bomb.
In past governments things were not perfect but a big part of the problem was because of the war we had brought on the people of Uganda. Inspite of that, when we captured power, we found almost all sectors of the country strained but still in working condition. Uganda was still far from being like a tiger economy but this country had one of the best foundations in Africa, to leap ahead. Mention the public service! We had one of the best police forces, well run prison services, many good schools, hospitals, agriculture institutions and well developed support services for farmers throughout the country, unions and cooperative societies for all sectors, ferries, an efficient nationwide phone and postal system, roads, a fully fledged airline with both domestic and international routes, a railway system that served most of the country from Arua to Kasese, an industrial town (Jinja) -- and what do we have now? A rotten country. Nothing. Only Museveni's friends and accomplices who grabbed 'privatised' corporations and assets are smiling.
All Yoweri has invested in is the State House in Entebbe, his presidential jets, his hotels around Entebbe and Kampala, a huge army of guards to protect him and his family, but nothing tangible for the rest of the country to live on. Maybe Ugandans are slaves working only for the good and comfort of their masters the Museveni clan.
To write this article some of us were very afraid because of the young elements who maraud around and can betray us to Yoweri. But some of us we are not doing this for ourselves it is for the sake of our children and grand children. We wasted our chance of a good life when Museveni deceived us that his program of destroying, killing and fighting was the way of progress. The result is there for all to see. Now some of us have decided to take this risk otherwise Uganda as a state is no longer viable if Yoweri continues in power.

This is in response to the writer of "FRONASA Cadre Reflects on Obote, Amin, Museveni Legacies"
He says, quote " Ugandans should just rise up before it is too late otherwise they will have no country left. It is not farfetched to see us in a situation like eastern Congo or Somalia considering what is happening. If Ugandans think they have a government, I wish them well, but for some of us who know the inside, we see a time bomb".
That is good idea to advocate for an uprising, but what kind of uprising should local people unarmed mount against a tiger armed to the teeth and ready to kill anyone in its path?
I want to assure you that the people have risen up through elections, but as you mention the system is rotten. Quote, "Maybe Ugandans are slaves working only for the good and comfort of their masters the Museveni clan". The electoral commission, I think under threat declared the chicken thief winner of the two elections of 2001 and 2006. But the populace spoke and M7 knows he lost.
Ugandans have risen against the Mabira give away abut you saw what happened. The army supposed to protect the citizens of the country was unleashed against those it is supposed to protect.
In reality, it should be you people in the armed forces that can cause change not the civilians because M7 it appears is ready to kill who ever stands in his way. So if an unarmed man/woman stands in his way that would be suicidal. Rather another armed person standing in his way would be some form of challenge, and I am sure the masses would back the you. You should know that on average most Ugandans can now manage fire power after ?Mchaka Mchaka? courses, but do not have the means to acquire fire power. It is up to you elders in the forces to convince the youth that are behind the evil activities to change heart.
We the civilians look at the army as the only solution to the Ugandan problem. Elections will never change anything in our Uganda.

ON FRONASA,
thanks for the daily 'bread'. I read the said article. I can see alot of regret from that fellow. I must thank the first person who responded to him very much.
Now that you are back to your senses, you are just now realising that you killed our people for nothing. Just to appease some one who has turned out to be a robber and a killer.
You never listened when Obote told you fellows to be careful about that your Museveni. Indeed, many westerners, am very sorry to say this, were very instrumental in making life miserable for Obote. Now you talk about the good things Obote and Amin did for this nation when is too late and useless. In Kambuga, deep in Amama Mbabzi's village, the only hospital old grandies and children go to was built by the Obotes, the ones hated most. In Ntungamo, it is same story. Up to day, M7 uses a murrum road to get to his village in Rushere! over 20 years in power? These Obotes and amins did good to this nation but you chose to blackmail them as killers and thieves, as you kept butchering people in Luweero.
Now you are saying that we civilians rise up and fight to remove this monster M7? You people in army have failed and are busy trying to decieve us as well into fire! What can me, as unarmed civilian do to fight all those mambas?
Indeed you are very greedy. We all saw what happened with Mbabazi & Temangalo. Those NRM fellows who went for Mbabazi's head only did it because they had personal problems with him, that he was sponsoring people against them in 2011! Not that they loved their country and were bitter about Mbabazi looting a whoping 11bn of workers money in exchange for wetlands and fishponds! Imagine, how much they duped us to think they for us all as Ugandans!
Now, you want Ugandans to rise up , and bring in who? Besigye? To hell with your siyasa. After all for us Mbale, we are 'orphans'. That what your Sabagabe M7 calls us.
Masaba Luzwala,
Mbale
